also, legend has it when fsu was up 19-3 Deion lined up to cover Irvin asked Mike why was he still running his routes so hard, the game was over. Irvin looked at his sideline and said, I'm a Hurricane and we never give up. or something like that.
Irvin scored a 73 yard TD later(not over Deion) and the Canes won the game 26-25. Miami went on to go undefeated and win the National Championship. that was fsu's only loss on the season.
