I know there is a mix of thoughts on guns up here.
Thoughts on this interaction.
Apparently, because it was visible, the policy (not sure if law) according to officer is that he had to have it taken out the car.
Long story short, driver gets pulled over for going 85 in a 70 according to state trooper, who ask for license and if he has a gun in the vehicle. The driver who apparently has the gun holstered and visible says yes and the he has a permit. The state trooper says he needs the driver to step out the car, so he check the gun for the officer's safety. The driver refuses and ask for captain to come to the scene. He finally hands it over, they check for any issues with gun and they let him go.
