is there anyone in boxing history that was more passionately hated, but at the same time, put asses in the seats the way floyd does? sure tyson and ali had their fair share of critics, but floyd is pretty much universally hated. he just gets under people's skin more than any boxer i've ever seen. even in the ortiz fight you could tell the commentators were desperately wishing upon a star that ortiz would land a lucky right hook and KO floyd, even when they were begrudgingly giving floyd props for his skills. those guys probably would've jumped up and down like little girls if ortiz managed to pull it off
