Then why throughout history whites tried to turn the stuff they saw blacks doing into something white.

They will as long as they are the majority. The second part is mere opinion.

then what is the real reason?

African immigrants assimilate fairly easily into Black American culture after 1 generation. No White person is assimilating into a Black culture. That right there is proof enough of a overlapping identity.

if we had an all-black version of america, with the exact same land, resources, businesses, opportunities; and black people still chose the white america, it would mean black people really do want to asemilate w/whites.

but under this current structure, blacks will ALWAYS be 'coerced' into choosing the "greener side." you basically want to remove all accountability and excuse blacks who choose to flee into the burbs.
