Flint is in the middle of an increasingly serious crisis dealing with its water quality.

This is a direct result of poor city management and inept leadership dating back decades.:comeon:

I was born and raised in Flint and it sickens me to have to deal with stuff like this in city that once could stand shoulder to shoulder with other similar sized municipalities and call themselves "great". The irony is, we used to make jokes about a suburb of ours (Beecher) for having horrible water and now we are dealing with the very same issues, if not worse!

My family and I do not drink the water. But we do shower, wash clothes etc with it. There is a definite difference in the water from even a few months ago. The "experts" are saying there is not an immediate health crisis...not too many here believe that and our local news outlets don't have the credibility of a wino at this point so whatever they are telling us sounds like complete bs :camby:

Any of you all, who are from smaller cities, been through anything like this? How did it turn out?

I used to be stationed in a small small city, and damn near all of the people that lived there had fukked up teeth, because of the water quality. It was crazy cause even if you see a beautiful woman you already knew her grill was damaged beyond repair. The military even gave us a advisory to use bottled water.

My grandmother used well water and it was what they call hard water. Probably more of what you are talking about. It left white streaky powder on everything it touched.

I grew up on well water. This isn't that, this is water from the Flint River, it foes through a treatment plant and all that but still coming to us with chemicals that can be harmful and it is "hard" nh. Doesn't leave the streaks but dries you out.
