Wait a minute before you react here's my 2 cents
All my life I've seen people hype up mediocre fast food like it's the next best thing.
In n out is soooo good!
, chick fil a is amazing!
taco bell is the shyt!
People don't realize that the food you cook at home is better than the fast food you purchase. The culture out here, especially in the Bay Area is to ALWAYS eat out
. Not many people want to really cook for themselves and spend that time and energy into making some food, while they can spend that time out a busy work week talking to a significant other while enjoying a plate of mediocre mass-produced oily and bland food
.
Think about it
I literally realized this while at a Jamaican restaurant and I looked at the menu and noticed they were charging $10+ for simple street food that would cost 2-3 dollars back on the Island.
Rice, plaintains, beans, and jerk chicken for 9 bucks
plus tax
FOH

But then, I looked around the restaurant and saw all people of all ethnicities happy, jovial, and relishing the moment, which astounded me because as an African, I actually know how to cook this food and thought to myself ( this is some simple ass shyt)

Open a streetfood African/Caribbean, soulfood restaurant, create an exotic ambiance within the place, and market the food as if these American consumers are receiving some exclusive taste of the motherland ( especially in CALI)

Hustle baby hustle
I still gotta figure out the buying in price for this venture, also I have to have a "dame dash "shark dude by my side
to handle negotiations because i hate that part
