In TX, plenty of Taco Trucks (before food trucks took off in '10s), none of them was cheaper than a restaurant.

A lot of them were better, and most of them were way more traditional and had way more options?

Pre-pandemic was a different beast. They had crazy lines and were able to keep prices low. Now you got higher food prices and less customers. I do miss the 5-7 dollar plates.
