If you are a breh in starting off in the IT helpdesk, listen up and listen closely.
Your #1 priority needs to be GETTING THE FUKK OUT of the helpdesk as quickly as possible. It's good to have that on your resume as you're starting off but after a while working helpdesk is a pain in the ass because of the amount of dumb customers you have to deal with on a daily
Most IT jobs have an adequate amount of downtime. I strongly advise anyone in the helpdesk to use that time studying for your certs. You wont regret it.
The helpdesk is straight up purgatory. I've been working helpdesk for 3 years and Im just now realizing this.
Every single day I got my packet tracer fired up and my CCNA books on deck while I grind to get my way out.
Don't be like me and take 1095 days of L's before you decide to do something about it.
