Yeah it's weird to think 1 year is a long relationship and then to still cry over them 5 months after the breakup, how are you going to be if you break up after say a 2 or 3 year relationship?

I read somewhere that getting over a person usually takes about half the amount of time you were with them. For example, in your case, 6 months would be a reasonable amount of time to mourn the relationship. For me, I was with my ex for almost 4 years, and I took over 2 years to get over her. Therefore, I took a little longer than the norm. You'll get there, breh. Just let the feelings run through you, and try not to suppress them.
Thats BS, you may think about them here and there but there is no rule on how long it takes to get over someone, I know people who were together for 15 years and broke up and are dating other people a year after, OP is crying over a chick he dated for one year and 5 months later and he is nowhere close to being over her.
