For the 2000s, G-Dep had the best Hip Hop debut with his "Child Of The Ghetto" album

Yup.

It's a better album than any so called great or classic Hip Hop debut album of the 2000s such as Kanye's The College Dropout, Jeezy's Thug Motivation 101, 50's GRODT, and The Game's Documentary etc.

G Dep's writing was great and the production by The Hitmen who produced the album was excellent. The singles were big when they were released but this album is now an overlooked classic:

dep was a great lyricist. from being underground to going more maintream, he was still spittin. i still remember him destroying the "strictly business" beat on that deputy mixtape.

Yup and this joint is one of my favorites by him:

Very good album, I copped it, and liked it a lot, even though everyone had that bootleg like 7 months before...but, it's too long and lacked focus, some filler tracks and questionable hooks, far better debuts in the 2000's, I was a Shyne stan, but I think his was much more cohesive, and more impressive standouts. A lot of the time, i feel like Dep didn't know what to rhyme about, he wanted to go introspective, and thats when he was at his best, but stumbled when he tried to do the Ma$e/Loon/pretty boy bad Boy type of flow/content.

Black Rob released a really nice single a couple of years ago; this joint is nice:

I never did check out the album from which that single came from though.
