Microsoft has officially cut the price of the Xbox One in the UK, to just £329.99 – with shops such as Amazon and GAMEalready reflecting the change.

On Amazon at least, the cut even includes the new all-white Xbox One bundle with key Christmas release Sunset Overdrive.

This is the version of the console without Kinect, but even so it represents a £100 worth of price drops in less than a year.

At launch the Xbox One was £429.99, before being dropped to £399.99 for the release of Titanfall in March. Then during the summer a version without Kinect was released for £349.99.

We don’t think we need to spell out why this keeps happening, but although specific sales figures are never released for the UK the PlayStation 4 still seems to be firmly ahead of its rival.

Sony’s next gen console has never needed to alter its priced and has been £349.99 since launch.

Although obviously you’ll probably find discounts for both consoles, and the £239.99 Wii U, if you shop around.
