Do you go to the barber?
Do you just shave your head yourself?
Did you go to the barber at first until you got comfortable with your bald head?
Do you still get your face/beard lined up at the barber?

No - it would take me probably a year to grow anything substantial enough to warrant having a barber touch it.

I got a five head electric razor that I use on my head and then I'll go into the shower and use a Fuzion ProGlide. I used to rock with the Dorco joints, but I had a couple situations where the razor or the handle would break while I was using it, and came close to nicking my joint up bad.

Bald is preferable to balding, thinning, gray and white hair. Funny thing is that while up top is disappearing, facial hair is showing out with thickness, even though the gray and white hairs are out there in full force.

Far as having a barber, it's a waste of money; only time I'm in the chair is to get the goatee lined up.

My process though:
  • shampoo and scrub the head
  • shaving gel spread around the head
  • double-edged safety razor, single pass from front to back, slight overlap on previous pass
  • pass on back of neck, then against the grain upswing around the ears
  • cold water rinse and pat dry
  • tea tree oil or witch hazel rubbed into the shaven areas
  • pat dry, air dry, vitamin E oil spread on head
clean and shining, clean and shining

my pastor put me on game about the double-edged safety razors; they're better with cost and cut back on irritation due to multiple blades not catching the skin after the top blade gets the follicle.

any other questions, I'm game to answer them.
