For those that it applies to, when did you realize you were different?

OP..

Thinking of your question, I have came to the conclusion that I have a fundamental issue with the notion that there is some level of deficiency with someone just because they happen to have a certain personality trait or live a certain lifestyle.

The best way to answer you query is that I noticed that there was a disconnect between myself and other people within my social orbit when I became a teenager.

That is when clicks are formed. Some gravitate towards the streets while others gravitate towards sports or get in good with the young ladies and so forth.

I am debating if I should elaborate more because I want to share my experience to support my assessment, but I am not in any mood to receive any sort of disrespect from anyone!

So, for now, I will say that my unique persona isn't for everyone which is ok.

It is refreshing to know that there are a lot of people out there who are open minded enough to accept me for who I am as a person.

I am appreciative and grateful for those type of people as well as those who don't, to a lesser degree...

I was labeled a genius at 3. Since then pretty much I notice the gap
Pretty much. I've worked hard on my normal person persona but it slips sometimes and I'm a weirdo again. Thank God I found a fellow genius to hook up with and, tho he disregards most, he gives me intellectual respect.

Yea i tend to dummy it down too. I also love researching stuff so I know a little about everything. But I’ll purposely not correct people or call them out on minor shyt, even when it’s wrong, cause I’d be doing it all the time

When I realized everyone else was fake.
I'm serious too.

I was a nobody and a lil bit of a bookworm.
Everybody knew me but it was like whatever
Then I started hanging with the cool kids that I always knew from the school bus but we never hung out at school.
Then we did, and then everyone wanted to know me, people were giving me pounds out of nowhere, complimenting me on my clothes etc...
Staring at me and the crew in the cafeteria, girls huging me, asking me for digits and what am I doing tonite, bla bla bla.

I never got an ego boost from that, my reaction was always WTF is wrong with ya'll :mjtf:
