Especially cause no matter how hard they try. It don't look natural. People talkin' about "He look like he'a sleeping." Na, he look dead, stiff and cold.

I had no choice. I was responsible for making my father's funeral arrangements, which means I had to go to the morgue where his body was at and get a death certificate, as well as choose the vase I wanted him to be cremated in. The funeral arranger showed me his body when we were done I had just seen my dad a week or so prior to that, and he managed to look even worse when I saw him laying under that white sheet

One of my homies got killed a few years back. I had just seen him the day before he was murdered. We were laughing and jokin and he was full of life. So the next time I saw him, he was layin in a casket. shyt fukked me up for a minute

Why do you do it? Me personally, I avoid viewing the bodies. I don't want that image being the last image of that person I have. I want to remember them as they were.

I'm the same way. Ever since my cousin when I was 15, who was like my older brother, lived with us and everything, I haven't gone to funerals since. My fam was offended at first, but now they've learned that's just how I am.

I'll go to a memorial, but a funeral or viewing? never. Won't be caught dead (no pun) in the same room/area as a corpse of a loved one. fukk that. I don't want to see them that way. I made the fatal error of touching my cousin's face, thinking it would feel a little cold, that shyt felt like a brick. I still can't get that shyt out of my head. I was traumatized, it was the first time someone close to me ever passed away.

Only one I might have to go through with is my mom, and that's because I'm her oldest son, I will more than likely be responsible for everything. That one is going to crush me, I already know. I try not to think about it.
