One of the arguments made against the idea of black leadership is that there are no white leaders. Well here is Edward Blum. Blum started a conservative non profit group in 2005 called the Project for Fair Representation which has very deep pockets and has been working hard to dismantle the constitutional protections black people have in the US.

r

He's the dude behind the Abigail Fisher case (Fisher v. Texas) to gut affirmative action in Universities in the US. He's also behind getting Shelby County vs. Holder in front of the Supreme Court where if he's successful, will destroy key protections in the Voting Rights Act for black people.

FYI the Abigail case is being argued in front of the Supreme Court right now. This case is why Justice Scalia said black people shouldn't be brought into these schools.

So while you cats assume that white leaders don't exist, they're working behind the scenes to make sure we remain permanently oppressed.

Sad thing is, is that most people aren't even aware of the things are going on right now to turn the clock back on there civil rights. Why even care about voter suppression laws of you have black people telling black people voting doesn't matter and not to vote?

They are always working behind the scenes for their best interest. They move money and they move quietly. They fund and elect the people who have their best interest in mind. They vote out the ones that don't. Meanwhile you have black people mad at the president about things taken care of locally in an election they didn't vote in. They is one of our weak points. We aren't focused on legislation, all the protest and hashtags don't matter is you don't have anything to back you up.

Like those preachers meeting with trump and what did they talk about :mjlol: :mjcry:

I don't think legislation is gonna fix anything breh, especially when cacs are the ones creating and enforcing the legislation. All throughout the 60's the goal was on getting legislation passed. What most people don't realize is we've had multiple Civil Rights Acts over the centuries, about 10 of them:

Civil Rights Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Every time a new one is created, cacs just use an alternative method to continue our oppression.

I don't think legislation is the end all be all or will fix everything. People get away with murder everyday and it's laws against that. But it's still needed and means something if it didn't why would people be constantly working to reverse it?

The point in they have money and people in power to push their agenda fight or pass legislation that benefits them. That is what the guy in the op is for. Then you have some of people that are supposed to be our leaders are meeting with politicians for a check. Instead of pushing our intuerest turn around to gives us the candidates talking points.

I tell everyone I know- vote in every single election you can. City state national.
Hell vote when the dog catcher is up for reelection if you can.
City and state office holders usually go onto bigger things.
All of these things build on another.
The prison industrial complex? We have elections for judges and sherriffs.
Law enforcement funding is doled out both locally and nationally.
This next presidential election holds with it the person who will select the next 1 or 2 (at least) supreme court justices . Even if you're not crazy about the candidates you gotta think of the balance of the Supreme court and the decisions they will make and how those will affect us. ( ex. Voting rights, abortion, protections from unfair search and seizure etc)
We know that we don't have the economic power that these other groups have to buy politicians and force their agenda so we certainly need to do whatever we can to ensure that these people can't succeed in making it even harder for us to ever accumulate that economic power.

Let's not forget about the Koch Brothers. Owners of Koch Industries (with companies like Georgia Pacific), they've pumped countless millions into funding right wing movements and programs.

I'm not sure where the idea of no white leaders came from, but they're making moves everyday while we're arguing over who the real blacks are :wow:
