For trash comedians like andrew Schulz..excessive crowd work = lack of material

I agree about Schultz relying on shock value. I’m not a fan.

this is what i expect of a generic working comedian. They don't care that their material isn't going to age well or be remembered. They just want to be able to book as many shows as possible.
Don't have any material, but are comfortable on stage because they've been at it a long time, so they just do crowd work, play to the lowest common denominator and repeat.

That said i'm still not sure which is worse from a comedy standpoint. This type of comedian or the the type of comedian that has just one good 30 minute set of original material that they just repeat over and over across the country for years without adding any new jokes. For example Dave Coulier from full house, i once heard his comedy routine on Pandora (i like to listen to comedy stations on road trips.). It was from like 1994. I was like hmmm, Is that the dude from full house? i didn't know he did standup. I searched him on youtube later to see if still does comedy and found a video of him from 2018 doing the exact same material from 1994.
