Aluminum is triple the cost of steel. They are just going to change the metal in the bed, not the frame or cab.
A couple things, I don't know if that's going to put Dodge or GM in front with cheaper costs. It's going to be odd to have a rusted out cab but a non-rusted out bed. The SUVs won't see a loss in weight or improved gas mileage.

The article said that GM has already announced that they are moving their trucks to aluminum and Dodge will probably follow

Looks nice, not that I'd ever have the time to use it but I used to have a 2001 with a V8 had a lot of fun.

Simple fact is gm v8s have so much more to offer than the competition.

Disel though and i might even say dodge has the shyt.
