The Passage of Time
I believe 50 cent is an investor is he not ? If you hold shares in a publicly traded company there is a risk your networth on paper can change in months.

Mark Zuckerbergs networth was $9.4 B September 2012 then $13.3 B March 2013 present day he is worth $19 B September 2013... In one year his networth has doubled due to the price of his shares. And these a billions of dollars

Eike Batista went from being worth 30 billion to 10 billion in just 12 months. It happens.

Going by your rhetoric you are saying Wiz Khalifa is a better liar than Ross ?

No what I'm saying is simple the Forbes list is bullshyt, no if ands or buts. You can rationalize it all you want and try to create a believable scenario and it still will be just bullshyt. using 50 again they list him only as sms and sk energy drink it is also well known that he part owner of Gunnar Optiks which very successful, he also owns part of HANG and a host of other shyt. So if you going to paint a picture wouldn't you want all of the colors.

eminem and snoop probably have the worst hustle out of that entire list. considering their fame and stature(s) it's obvious they never really made cashing in on hiphop a priority.

:childplease: eminem literally did NOTHING all year and made 10 milli. and snoop is caking off of just being snoop. he hasn't dropped a dope album in over a decade. sounds like the type of life i'd like to have...:ohhh:

snoop is not even selling records like that anymore, and they say he's already worth over $100M. eminem obviously could multiply his # easily if he were touring and endorsing stuff, but if he can sit back and collect $10M for doing nothing, that's just as good I guess.

maybe i didn't elaborate well enough. i'm not just talking about the now.

my point is that throughout the duration of their careers, despite the fact that at one point snoop was top dog (doggystyle era all the way up to what, '99?), and eminem's pretty much always been. unlike other artists, they never really used themselves as a brand to cash out. they've both went into a couple business ventures, but they're not like a hov, diddy, or even fukking nikki minaj when it comes to getting that paper.

ain't a priority to them it seems. they should be much wealthier than they actually are, but they always manage to hit these lists doing almost nothing but their literal job. and before you respond with some defensive dumb shyt, please don't. i'm giving both dudes props.

You really believe this shyt is accurate don't you, well its not. Many celebs have stated that forbes is completely wrong. I will show you a couple of instances where Forbes made a list in December and then turn around maybe a couple to 3 months later with different numbers. It is all educated guessing. They don't have access to the accountants nor IRS filings as well as some of the cats are silent partners in businesses as well as investments. Now would you hand over your financial statements to Forbes? or tell them one thing just too look good in the media and turn around and get audited.

This was published Dec 2011
http://www.forbes.com/pictures/eeel45hdif/2-curtis-50-cent-jackson-216-million/#gallerycontent

and that may of 2012 forbes
http://www.forbes.com/sites/zackoma...orbes-five-hip-hop-wealthiest-artists-2012/2/

The forbes list is a click baith article nothing more.

This is about the revenue made last fiscal year...I'm simply using your own 'rationale' or lack there of to disprove you own disbelief in Forbes. You brought up networth in a discussion over annual revenue though......

Just because they don't list his diverse investment portfolio doesn't mean anything ....they don't list Cheetah Vision neither. What exactly are you getting at ?

The suburbs
1.)Diddy :takedat:-$50 Million
Hip-hop’s net worth king claims his first annual earnings crown thanks mostly to the success of Ciroc vodka. Other ingredients in his cash cocktail: record label Bad Boy, clothing line Sean John and, soon, cable channel Revolt.
2.)Jay Z  - $43 Million
Lost his hyphen but gained double-digit millions from lucrative live shows, Armand de Brignac champagne, D’Ussé cognac, Roc Nation label/management firm and other ventures. New album Magna Carta … Holy Grail went platinum before its July launch thanks to a $5 million investment from Samsung that fell just outside our scoring period
3.)Dr Dre -$40 million
Last year’s Cash King slips two spots, no longer boosted by a nine-figure payout for selling part of Beats by Dr. Dre in 2011. But he’s still cashing in on the ubiquitous headphones, expanding the company he founded with Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine to include a long-awaited streaming music service.
4.)Nicki Minaj - $29 million
Two years after becoming the first female artist to make the Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, Minaj is nearing the top thanks to income from touring, steady music sales, a lucrative American Idol gig and endorsements with Pepsi and others.
5.)Birdman :birdman:- $21 million
The Cash Money chief continues to live up to the name of his record label, whose lineup boasts three other artists on this list: Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Drake. Birdman’s empire also includes clothing, vodka and publishing.
6.)Kanye West -$20 million
He may be one of rap’s biggest names, but he falls just short of the top five this year. New albumYeezus was released shortly after the end of our scoring period, though, and a lucrative tour this fall should vault him back toward the top of next year’s list.
7.)Lil Wayne -$16 million
The diminutive rapper played only a handful of shows this year and made headlines for health scares, but still cashed in on his new album I Am Not A Human Being II, clothing line Trukfit and his Young Money label.
8.)Wiz -$14 million
The Pittsburgh native has been raking in cash ever since bursting onto the mainstream scene with his hometown ode “Black and Yellow,” the top single from his album Rolling Papers. His follow-up,O.N.I.F.C.—and more than 75 shows over the past year—keep him on the list.
9.)Ludacris -$12 million
Though his new album Ludaversal was delayed once again, the self proclaimed “Mouth of the South” continues to cash in on live shows, Soul by Ludacris headphones, Conjure cognac and roles in films like Fast & Furious 6.
