Hold up, is this a lost in value or actual year-end lost (i.e. revenue - costs) ? Something seems fishy with these teams reporting red :shaq2:

Hawks lost $19 Million :damn:
Been trying to explain to the hawks fans how delusional they have been. You guys as a whole are a terrible fanbase. Riley and the heat took the gamble on LeBron because he can probably change a while franchise around if done properly. You gonna have kids in 10 years claiming Miami because of the LeBron effect.

Atlanta needs that kind of power move to change things up...need to draft a legit superstar and go from there.

Just checked again...that list was from the lockout season when they played 66 games, not this past season. So those Nets Max contracts wasn't even part of the equation. Joe Johnson was still a Hawk on this list. That kind of explains how some teams finished in the red.

The Arsenal
heat only made 15 mill :dead: :dead:
only made? why do you care? shyt i would want my team to break even. i don't see any of that money. sports should be about the glory, not whether or not the owner of my favorite team is making bank. i don't want them to lose money, but after they get all these tax breaks and taxpayer funded stadiums/arenas i want them doing whatever it takes to win.

so if my team is making 30m profit and i hear that the owner is moving a key player that could help us win championships because they want to avoid paying luxury tax in the future even though the profit margin would cover it and still leave you in the positive, i'd have a problem. the thunder should be laughed at. 30m profit and yet they want to avoid luxury tax so bad. :rudy:

Anyone know how Kicks are bringing in so much profit?

They have a marketable star, a winning team, plus the only sports venue in Manhattan(why the West Side Stadium was such a controversy).

Being born into the Cablevision dynasty helps too.

Forbes is a joke when it comes to sports coverage and their "lists."

That means the nets value should be at least near double in 2-3 years
