What are some foreign movies that you've seen and enjoyed?
Feel free to recommend.

Below are some of the ones I've watched on Netflix. There are more, but I can't think of them all. And Netflix no longer allows you to see your entire viewing history.

A Prophet
After The Wedding
After the Wedding
Ajami
Amores Perros
Bad Day to Go Fishing
Biutiful
Blame It On Fidel
Carlos: A Miniseries (all 3 parts. Not the consolidated version)
Cautiva
City of Life and Death
Elite Squad (1 and 2)
Even The Rain
Gomorrah
Head-On
King of Devil's Island
Mesrine
Mondays in the Sun
Nowhere in Africa
Paris
Protektor
Sex and Lucia
Sleepless Night
Sophie Scholl: The Final Days
Teddy Bear
Tell No One
The Baader-Meinhof Complex
The Edukators
The Grocer's Son
The Lives of Others
The Motorcycle Diaries
The Violin
The Wave
Tuesday, After Christmas
Welcome

I don't think so.

It's a french movie of a guy in prison who gets forced to do things on behalf of a dominant gang inside.

Definitely.
I'm kind of in a slump with my Netflix lately.

looking for a specific genre?

action?
horror? (i plan on making a thread on this soon)

one movie i could think of off the bat is a movie called Promise, its a kung fu movie similar to House of Flying Daggers if you into that...something to watch with a female.

Honestly, I watch more drama than anything, with the occasional thriller.
Most people think my movies are boring.

Like, above there are some movies that can be considered chick flicks (Tuesday After Christmas, After The Wedding, Sex and Lucia).
But I like the drama and acting and all that stuff.

So I'm not really into horror.

I don't watch too many kung fu movies.
Maybe a few classics like Five Fingers of Death and The Five Deadly Venoms.

Five Fingers of Death is interesting because you can see how Quentin Tarantino used it for certain things in his Kill Bill movies.

Definitely "Carlos: A miniseries"
Three 90-minute installments. It's based on the life of international terrorist Carlos The Jackal. You'd probably also love Mesrine.

And no, I still haven't gotten around to watching Kagemusha or The Seven Samuri.
They're like 60 years old and really long, drawn out movies. I just haven't had the time.
