Why am I just hearing this? @shopthatwrecks @Supper and all the other Houston heads, come in here and give me the rundown on all the artists on this song, like what parts of town they from, local following, is their music hot, etc...

.......

I done played this shyt like 40 times since I first heard it last week. It aint the original but it puts young Rock back in the mindframe of 16-year old me when Still Tippin dropped mainstream. For my money this is one of the rawest production efforts/beats in the history of hip hop...

As a teen I was already into Scarface so I had a predilection to Houston rap anyway. When this shyt bubbled mainstream it was fukking major, it got play coast to coast, and I will argue with anyone it's one of the dopest posse cuts abd overall songs in hip hop history. Top whatever, it's better than 99% of rap tracks ever cut...

In Houston, what is the legacy of this particular song, and in hip hop overall, what is it's legacy?

shyt, I remember still tippin hittin the scene after bun b put that draped up out. Them two back to back TX hits is what started that H town 05 - 07 wave.

That shyt really put the culture in the rest of the world faces in a way the mainstream could grasp fashytsho in a way that a houston artist ain't did before that. That's why still tippin is important.

But, like I said before if I HAD to chose a city anthem from THAT post screw era it'd have to be this bad mf from around @shopthatwrecks way.

Still Tippin had the radio but this hea was eaweay in the streets. EABODY was on this when it came out. And IMO is a more down home accurate representation of what it's like down here on a day2day.
