Goddamn at the potential they had! If Roy and Oden stayed healthy, they might have been battling the Thunder in the WCF for the next decade. Isn't Aldridge hurt too? Portland is definitely cursed.

The lesson learned is that you always take the dynamic scorer whether you need them or not. They keep people in the seats and if they flame out the fanbase blames them instead of management. They are easier to build around too.
The fail and bust rate of 'sure thing' centers is actually really really high in comparison to their perimeter counterparts
