Yeah, it’s hard as fukk. I worked a clipper summer camp with Leon Poe’s cousin years ago.

Cuz was trying to use his cousin’s name to get p*ssy and no disrespect to Leon, but he only had one or two good years in the league.

His cousin was a 6’7 benchwarmer in the G league, but since he had the height, he was a superstar athlete in his head.

First off.. those family members and so called friends isn’t shyt and u should distance yourself from both…just imagine u made the league and had money and all of sudden a career ending injury happened, those same people will disappear as well

Secondly thats life… theres not a lot of openings in football, basketball and baseball and only a handful will make it… at the same time u should always prepare for the what if’s

However TV/Radio and social media dont show u that side of if u dont make it and we as black people love to crack jokes about so and so was a one hit wonder or a failure because they didnt make it, but like I always say at least you had the opportunity but hopefully your 9-5 brings u some peace or at least you don’t have to beg people

At least y'all athletes tried. I never played football and people always ask. I have the prototype body build that's made for contact sports :francis:

I work with several and those washed up nikkas never let it go… I worked with a cat that was on the Falcons practice squad a few years ago and he’s a miserable fukk to be around.
Got to let them know that they still have time to make something of themselves. Might not be rich, but can still learn a skill and make good money and enjoy life.

I trained a guy who used to be a professional basketball player. He played overseas in Asia

He was real chill, talked alot about the good ol days of swimming in p*ssy in East Asia lol. Got him a baby mama out there as well. He said the transition to a 9-5 was rough, but he's starting his own business, so he's in a good space now
