BET, for whatever faults they had, did try to provide Edu-tainment for viewers up to a certain point. They also did a great job of picking hosts for their shows, as they were all beautiful, articulate with screen presence.

Lot of lives were saved because that show covered safe sex, consequences of crime, and other life/death issues.

I wish BET would get back to some of it's roots. It can't be exactly the same obviously, but they can modernize some of these shows and concepts.
