Brent was released from jail at 12:08 p.m. Sunday, according to Dallas County records.

The former defensive tackle was convicted in January of intoxication manslaughter for a car crash that killed his teammate and friend Jerry Brown Jr. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 10 years probation.

On Friday, Brent asked a Dallas County judge to let him serve the rest of his jail sentence in an in-patient treatment facility.

Dallas County First Assistant District Attorney Heath Harris told KXAS-TV (NBC5) that rehab “would help him get more help with those issues.”

“We’re not going to stand in the way of that,” he said.

Does not seem like someone that will get through a one year probation, much less a 10 year one.
