The DEA and other US agencies are working to stop drug trafficking, it is simply that it is un unwinnable war, and forever a stalemate. People who insist the DEA is in on drug trafficking are delusional. The capos in Mexico live in fear of los tres letras.

And the CIA, they do they'e own thing, but part of that isn't propping up drug traffickers, assets of the CIA may mix in with international money launderers and traffickers, but they aren't working side by side.
