A former employee of the National Security Agency was arrested Wednesday on espionage-related charges for allegedly trying to sell US secrets, the Justice Department announced.Jareh Dalke, 30, attempted to transmit classified national defense information (NDI) to a representative of a foreign government, the department said in a news release. He faces charges related to three violations of the Espionage Act and made his first appearance in court Thursday.
He fell into debt and he wanted paid leave. He was denied paid leave,and he met with an undercover FBI agent that was pretending to work for the Russian government. He contacted the undercover agent and the agent sent him 11,000 worth of crypto, and he promised to send Dalke some more if he printed off the actual documents.Dulke prints off the classified documents, and he thought he was going to meet up with some Russian spy, but it turns out that the FBI was waiting for him to turn up.
