Well Forza is the Xbox equiv to Gran Tourismo and peep any reviews, rates higher. Is better
Forza Horizon is a less serious approach. So its not about race tracks, but open world racing
Forza Horizon took place in Denver. This new one will be in South Europe.
The difference will be huge between Horizon 1 and 2. This one has no barriers and will have an online mode that ups the ante that Test Drive Unlimited established with its seemless online world
It'll work just like that on FH2, but they said they taking it to another level. When you hop online, its instant
And you remain exactly where you were when you was offline. We gonna be DEEP together online bruh, you comin?

Forza Horizon 2 will be 60fps bruh. And the use of the term "arcadey" isn't really the correct term anymore
Yes, the games differ in how they approach events and progression. Simply using the term Sim vs Arcadey makes the regular Forza franchise seem like its like Gran tourismo in sim
It is, but it has options. There's levels to this shyt :whew: On easy, regular Forza is pretty arcadey :manny:
And has a ton of different modes that cater to that, if that is your cup of tea
The PGR ppl who work on FH2.. they not gonna make another PGR but they will add features that worked in PGR to this game.
Not sure if you realized this, but maybe you like Forza Horizon because they ripped off the Kudos system from PGR :banderas:

I never made the connection til you said something. I just looked it up, and yep. They said they gonna add even more stuff this time :blessed:
it'll be 30fps

Well, this one is for @Malta

Let There Be Light
“We believe next gen beauty isn’t about poly counts,” says Fulton. “It’s not about texture resolution. Those are last-gen concepts. Next-gen beauty is about light.”

“It’s about light and how it plays on every surface in the world. How it reacts to them. How it scatters from them. It’s about the way sunlight glints on the bodywork of a car. It’s about the way the entire world reflects back at you from the surface of a puddle in a cobbled street.

“It’s about really revealing those imperfections that make something feel real. I’m talking about the minute scratches on a brake disc. I’m talking about the flaky paint and rusted metal of an old barn door. That’s what next-gen beauty is.”

We believe next gen beauty isn’t about poly counts. It’s not about texture resolution. Those are last-gen concepts. Next-gen beauty is about light.

Fulton explains the team had an enormous head start realising this, starting with the graphics engine, image-based lighting system, and physically modelled materials of Forza Motorsport 5.

“Our challenge in this game was really to make that dynamic,” he explains. “To make those systems work and combine in a vast world at any time of day, and in any atmospheric or weather condition.”

“We also had to make that scale. We have a huge world which we need to fill with light. Light from headlights, light from streetlights.”

Looking real is something Forza Horizon 2 is already excelling at. We’ll be going into more detail on the game’s weather effects at a later date but, in terms of just the lighting itself, after seeing it deconstructed in front of us it’s properly admirable just how authentically Horizon’s sun, streetlamps, and headlights illuminate the world.

“Light is a really big deal for us for this game, and the reference points we’ve chosen for this game are famous for their quality of light,” says art director Ben Penrose. “So on this game we didn’t want to leave anything to chance. We didn’t want to give you an impression of what the places are like that we visited and have tried to reproduce. We wanted to model it as accurately as possible and have all that stuff work with the physically based set-up that we’ve got from Forza 5.”

“So what we’ve settled on is a physically accurate model of Earth’s atmosphere,” Penrose grins.
I think we have another one ready to join the greener side :win:

IGN has this big ass slow reveal, everyone seems pretty excited

Even in the early details, they go into how this game shytS on the previous Forza Horizon

So this game has the potential to be the best racing game ever created. Will it be?
Time will tell. But it sure does seem like its a can't miss hit. Regardless of its ceiling :manny:

But then with all this hoopla, how come Driveclub isn't getting similar treatment?
Hasn't sony invited journalist to come play it?
What gives :dwillhuh:

They said the Drivatars, they talked about how when the rain came it looked amazing :blessed:
They mentioned night time like it was new to Horizon (it got dark in that game)
He went into how Amazing the game looked in general, but didn't make comparisons to Forza 5 which they said they play
And since this drops later and has been in development longer. It'll look better is guaranteed :banderas:

Seemless online modes, went into how the "social features" are top notch and basically what will drive the online portion which mirrors Test Drive Unlimited

Meanwhile, what are the social features that took sony a full year ON TOP of the planned development schedule.. what are these features? Anyone know? I'm asking, not mocking...

1080p already confirmed, they didn't mention framerate, which all but confirms 30fps

@PS4 why dignify that trash game by mentioning it I the same breath as the goat?
Well, as you well know the sony brigade was comparing Forza 5 to Driveclub and declaring DriveClub which is still in the bushes mind you.. the winner :dahell:

Horizon is the game that is most like DriveClub (well, vice versa) and it just dawned on me that nobody in the industry seems to give a shyt about DriveClub anymore.
I know the fanboys will up it, they tried to say Knack was a good game shortly after the PS4 dropped :laff:

I just wanted to know if the non fanboys, the journalist, whoever. If anyone has something similar in place for DriveClub? Cuz I wanna know :manny:
AS for the Framerate... They said they have a bunch of surprises they will reveal this week
Then the rest at E3
I think saving 60fps for E3 is a good idea. Not that it matters to me, but its something that will have the fanboys chirping :win:

You're an idiot if you believe that. These games couldn't be further apart in what they're trying to do. The only similarity is them being arcade racers.

Back to the reality, I wanted Driveclub to be what Forza Horizon was, a game with open world scope.

Nice PS Logo. You ever play Forza Horizon before brah?
It was an open world.. that wasn't really open. It had barriers all over that muthafukka
DriveClub isn't trying to be as ambitious as Horizon 2 obviously. That doesn't make it a different genre racer :stopitslime:

And since you dudes don't read, you just look for 2 paragraph responses that align with your fanboy agendas

In that article, what they describe is exactly what Forza Horizon was all about. It basically sounds like they tried to make a carbon copy of Forza Horizon. But you know, everyone else seems to know more than Courdog :damn:you're an idiot

Actually I did play Forza Horizon. You must have a reading comprehension problem because that Driveclub article mentions dynamic goals...Nothing else. Again the scope of Driveclub and Forza Horizon are nothing alike. I'm sure the 2nd one will push the envelope, so it'll be a first day cop for myself if I can find a XB1 for a good price.
