Found out yesterday a female cousin of mine is transgender

I was at my parent's house yesterday visting and we were conversing, when out of no where my Dad starts talking about how people forgetting their morals and letting society and even the media dictate how they live their lives. I asked him what he was talking about and he asked me have I seen my cousin's Facebook page as of late or even spoke to her recently. I told him I didn't really get on Facebook too much and he informs me, the cousin he was referring to was in the process of transitioning into becoming a man.

So he showed me her Facebook page and I have to say for a female she is pretty muscular she's bigger then a lot of guys. I really don't know how to deal with this information, I mean yes I know it's her choice but that doesn't make it right. She turns 40 at the end of the month and back when she was 25 she came out as gay and it took some people in our family to get used to that, but this is different.

I remember seeing her at my Grandma's 90th birthday celebration back in 2017 and her saying something about still trying to figure out who she was, but I didn't think this was what she meant. Like I said I know it's her choice but I dont know how I'm going to react the next time I see her. I don't know if I can talk to her the same way I used to talk to her.
