:ohhh:

I dont like locking down the half guard. I take the outside leg and hook it over the opponents leg because as he said its eaier to get the hips out and replace the guard. If i do hook the halfguard i will keep the inside leg hooked around the back of the opponents leg so i can take my outside leg out and put it on inside of the leg on the same side. This gives me a butter fly hook i can use to sweep or another method to replace the guard if im having trouble hipping out.

Yep, half guard isn't a position you want to hang out in, not in a fight especially.

Brock wrapped ol Frank's arm around his head and beat the horseshoe out of his ass. He beat him like an older brother making you punch yourself. After Brock wrapped up that 2nd BJJ lesson there was nothing Frank could ever do again.

Half Guard is pretty impractical for MMA. In BJJ though it can be devestating though. At least for me. I'm pretty money transitioning to deep half, and i've got about 3 sweeps i can hit from deep half, then transition to side control. If i go back door(pause :whoa:) i can usually take the guys back
