Benny got robbed and shot in Houston and just rapped about it.

People expect Gibbs to crash out in an airport and get banned while Benny can just keep rapping like nothing happened.

I still listen to both of them but the double standards are insane.

He can’t be Switzerland because he’s literally letting rappers use his beats to diss other rappers he’s cool with lol. And it looks crazy because the people Gibbs is dissing, Alchemist has got like albums worth of material with - this ain’t like Drake or Travis Scott where he’s just produced a one off track. If Gibbs was to turn around and start dissing Larry June for example and Alchemist is just sitting there, that looks insane. The reason he’s getting away with it is because he’s Alchemist but by that same token, use your position as Alchemist to tell Gibbs to chill and go and do that somewhere else. He already had Jet Life affiliates in his comments on the Alfredo 2 post talking about how he did Curren$y dirty to the point he had to point a story on Instagram with a picture of him, Spitta, Gunn and Earl talking about these are some of his closest partners in the industry - he wouldn’t be posting that if he didn’t realise there’s an issue with the optics.

If Alc is doing adlibs or intros or anything besides just handing off beats to rappers I would agree with you. But he's sending out random beats and/or having rappers pick beats and then doesn't know what they're being used for, sometimes for months.

He said he had no idea Kendrick used his beat for "Meet The Grahams" until he heard the song.

Benny is an American felon in a foreign country most likely on a work/performance visa. It's not in his best interest to get in ANY type of trouble and he most likely knows that. Maybe it was really just to talk but like @FreshAIG said, hard to squash a beef that got physical against you with no get back so Freddie most likely brushed the conversation off because of time and place of it.

Been an Alchemist stan since he was lacing the whole of Queensbridge with heat in the early 2000s but he just seems like he doesn’t have any real solid principles, even from the time when he snaked Rass Kass over the We Gonna Make It beat. He probably would’ve got beat the fukk up already if he wasn’t so legendary on the boards loool

Breh...you said yourself Alc was navigating QB streets giving beats to everyone. Prodigy held him down to avoid getting robbed but if you can get through QB politics without burning bridges with Mobb/Nas/Nore/etc then this Gibbs shyt is Saturday morning cartoons. There's no indication that Benny, Spitta, or anybody else views Alc as being involved in their Gibbs disputes.

He didn't snake We gon make it from Ras Kas. Ras basically gave him a down payment to eventually buy the whole beat and then got caught up in label limbo and never followed up and fukked Alchemist for months. Jada and Styles heard the beat and took care of business immediately. If you put something on layaway and stop paying you can't blame anyone but yourself.

Alchemist don't get involved in beefs or whatever you say on his beats. That's not his place

That ain't how it went down. The label paid for the beat. Ras was trying to put some extra coins in Al's pocket and got fukked over trying to help Al. He bought the beat, that's why you can actually stream Home Sweet Home on Spotify and why Priority eventually pressed the record on vinyl. It's legally their song.
