One makes amazing albums, the other drops dope verses here and there.

All I really care about :yeshrug:

Whichever one prefers is their own preference

But from level in the game to style and quality of music they are peers in the most even way possible

Its actually assed backwards for them to be at odds cause they'd be better as allies . Them and their fan bases are just that compatible

I never thought much of Al messing with multiple cats even if they beef. Not until I heard him say he had to check with Prodigy before he gave beats to Nas. That right there. Do got me lookin at son kinda funny. Still a GOAT tho.
:dahell: That's actually a considerate thing to do. You don't find it respectable that he asked his friend if he minded sending beats to Nas?

You wouldn't want to check off a bucket list item like making beats for legends like Nas or Jay? Would you rather Al have just not have even wanted to work with Nas? That sounds crazy. If Prodigy had a problem with it, it seems pretty clear that Alc would've respected that decision.

This is super weird. Producers are music nerds, man. They aren't street dudes and they are rarely involved in any of these beefs. They just wanna make music.

I actually don’t have a problem with him asking P before working with Nas. My thing is it makes me look at it funny that he didn’t offer the same respect to cats like Spitta n them. My thing is why not extend that same courtesy to some of these other cat he’s cool with that’s getting dissed on his records. Just a thought it’s nothing serious.

Nah man. Alc was a young in-house producer back then, dealing with real QB politics. People were getting shot and robbed. Checking in with P made all the sense in the world.

2023-now: Alc is an established vet and legend. There is no threat of violence. He doesn't have to do shyt nor does he owe any of these guys anything. Nor is any of this shyt real beef. He was on Drake's album recently and then gave Kendrick a beat for a diss. It doesn't matter.

The Spitta situation is very different. Spitta doesn't give af bro. It's no sweat to him or Alc.

There was real beef over the QB shyt. Like, that was hood politics and there was potential violence involved in those situations. People were getting robbed and violence was happening.

There's no evidence that Al didn't talk with Spitta before Alfredo 2. Literally none. People are just making assumptions that they didn't speak about it. And either way, Spitta has already acknowledged that he doesn't give af about any of this.

It's also an entirely different era and a different scenario.

Edit: I've also heard some rumors that Alc is unhappy with Spitta over something else between the 2 of them and that Currensy fukked him over on some business shyt, and that's why Alc didn't mind the Alfredo 2 thing...in which case he definitely wouldn't have any obligation to speak with him first.
