I think Alc best work is far and away the boldy james tape.
Covert Coup after that

This is up there though, not a skip on it beat wise

:wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow: :wow:

Yea I think Alch's best work is typically with Boldy. Feels like a spiritual transition from his Prodigy work.

Spitta not too far behind. Shame about the beef because he would have been perfect on Feelings.

I can't rank these they just mean different things to me at different times in life, but Bo Jack is definitely in the running for Al's best collaborative album.
Gibbs destroyed S.N.O.R.T. on Price of Tea

I can’t believe how much I like it because I usually hate those waltz 6/8 time signature beats but I love ensalada
I actually like them I just prefer them for songs that are more personal or introspective. But this nikka said "fukk all that shyt let me talk about this coke, these guns, women, andd women

:whew:

Can you break this down a little more? Not sure I follow. How was Spitta trying to get over on Al?

And this was between Continuance and now?

But I'd definitely heard that Alfredo 1 was supposed to be Fetti 2 at the beginning.

I was genuinely not expecting to like this more than Alfredo I. They outdid themselves. "Shangri La" and "Ensalada" (among others) have no business sounding that good.

Truth.

I was looking forward to the album, but definitely didn't think it would be THIS much better than the first Alfredo.

This sh*t is MUCH better!

Album is an honest depiction of a cokehead degenerate. It's one of the reasons Freddie is a lot more interesting than many of these other rappers....he shows who he is in his music, warts and all.

Facts!

Dude is just himself in his raps. So all the weaknesses and dumb sh*t he does is on display, without the frontin'. You throw that in there with his ear for beats, and you get some really dope music. Gibbs can't lose on Alchemist production.

Been listening to Fred since Str8 Killa No Filla. Everything Big Time Watts said about that nikka on Piñata was true lmao. I’ll always check out anything he drops, he’s certainly earned that respect from me.

I enjoy his projects the same way I enjoyed Kevin’s Gates’ run from Make ‘em a believe through Luca Brasi 2, before he dumbed his music down almost full time.

They both have a gift for writing in that sweet spot that joins technical skill, sensory grit, unmitigated fun, and melting into any beat they’re given.

They’re like the audio form of John Woo directed, Chow Yun Fat featured, hard boiled action flicks in the late 80’s. The way they tell stories (no matter how true or untrue) is also reminiscent of reading trope filled, hard boiled, detective novels.

Edit:

Boldy fits in that category at times, when he feels like it. His delivery is just a lot less colorful, so sometimes his verses can bleed together to me.

I believe its the same complaints Gibbs had over Spitta not promoting along with i guess some other shyt.

I do remember when he and Spitta first collabed and Spitta dropped a song they did without a proper rollout (i think it was through the blogs if i remember correctly) and he was taken aback because he was use to the old way of doing things but i didnt think any beef came from it.

I should of specified. When I mean introspective and personal I meant more of the ones that are reflecting on their lives up to this point or how they came to be this person in the first place. I 100% agree with you that this is his "personal". This album is the legit thoughts of a coke head lol. Money, Drugs, bytches and Opps

Yeah, there was zero issues after Covert Coup. Alc has actually thanked Spitta for not doing a proper rollout because he said that taught him how to adapt and change his mindset of releasing music. And they did Carrolton Heist. And Continuance just a few years ago (and 3 years after Fetti), and Spitta and Al just released a loosie less than 2 years ago.

I appreciate the Twitter links, but I find it real hard to believe there's serious beef between Alc and Spitta just based on what that dude is saying.
