Freddie Gibbs x The Alchemist - Alfredo 2 (JULY 25th) First Single "1995" Out Now

Normally I don't like the idea of buying physical before listening but something told me to for this

Glad I did this is AOTY so far to me. I can understand the Al outshined Freddie talk, but I look at it like Al's not sounding like this with really anybody else, they brought the best out of each other. Fred razor sharp as always, everything seems to go back to say what you want about the antics, the music is there. This is better than Alfredo 1 imo

I'm sure Alc felt the same way. Especially after watching Spitta go on a press run with JD for their joint album

I think Boldy, Curren$y and Earl still have the best Alc produced albums of the ‘20s

This is way better than the first to me. Think the first was a bit overrated. Beats were kinda boring. Been disappointed with Alc’s production the past few years. Too repetitive and by the numbers. But he got it in his bag on this one. And most importantly he brought the drums!....not trying to hear no more of that drumless bullshyt. This right here is where Alc shines.

Gibbs also came strong with the flow. This is prolly the sharpest he's ever sounded. Rapping with authority. Enunciating all his words. And he's sitting in the pocket like never before. Didn't fall off beat even once. He just keeps getting better. This is definitely album of the year off first listen. Easy 4.5 mics for me. Not a single skip. Gibbs is officially number 2 behind Kendrick and nobody else comes close. This is sounding like his best album right now. Even better than bandana.

"Ensalada" and "Feeling" are instant classics. Paak and Larry killed their features. These are two of the greatest beats I've heard from Alc in the past decade. Gibbs and Al's chemistry is undeniable. They elevated eachother to special place on this one


I was nervous as hell as the album kept going cause I was worried it would taper off. But it only kept getting better ....this is definitely gonna end up a 5/5 for me. I can already tell.

I’ll feel the same way - part 1 is nowhere near Al’s best work when you compare it to shyt like Masterpiece Theatre, Elephant Man’s Bones and so forth. I never understood what the hype was about but it was nominated for a Grammy so….

Gibbs bytch for that Spitta shot though. ALC is also a bytch for not making him remove it lol….got 4 joints with the man - even admitted that you’re indebted to him because he tapped you into a scene you weren’t in tune with when you were disillusioned with the industry, allowing you to eat independently. If I’m Curren$y, I’d be like fukk ALC loool
