Probably so. I don't think people's drug use hinges on the legality of using drugs so providing folks with safe options likely keeps folks from going underground and using unsafe drugs which increase the likelihood of death.

It will encourage people who would never do drugs to try them, and potentially ruin their lives. And I don’t think it’s a good idea to have more people walking around, and driving under the influence.

Theres nothing that supports that theory. I and many other people could get heroin tomorrow with relative ease. I have zero desire to ever do that tho. Read this when you get a chance they talk about ultimately full legalization will still be better than decriminalization

Portugal’s radical drugs policy is working. Why hasn’t the world copied it?
