The thing I do not understand is Diddy having his album executive produced by 2 guys (Ross maybe French solo) who never went platinum. He may want to make a similar sounding album to theirs for kicks then I understand. However, do not expect sales. No one buys that crap. That singles' money. :yeshrug:

I know but I believe he would at least take music serious even though it is not his primary source of income. It's like franchise owners, the team isn't their main source of income but they take it seriously by hiring competent people to operate it.

dont they just give anyone the executive producer title in albums
No, they do not or at least shouldn't. It means they are responsible for the overall sound of a project.

u act like diddy will give over full control and have no say in the album. he worked with ross on mastermind and french on his album. he pobably thinks he has great chemistry with them and with him providing input here and there will make something good

yes they do

lil kim gave it to biggie years after death... suge knight got it on every DR album and never produced a damn thing... nore gave it to capone when capone was locked up

you can give it to anyone... more than likely, someone from the label or production crew will insist or force you to put them down... for contract reasons... but realistically, you can put your mother or obama down there if you feel like it

Its symbolic. Its like how Mack Maine is the vice CEO of Young Money records. Hes not seeing any checks or making any decisions, it's just something for him to scream on records and put on his Twitter profile.

You're right. Whew! It isn't like other mofo's outside of Diddy and Trina are going to be calling for French Montana's executive producing services.
