If so: there is no shame in experiencing a violent partner. It's a taboo especially for men, however: some people have no business having partners, they are self-centred narcissists with violent tendencies because mentally they are children. My 2 cents would be: leave, quietly and break off all contact.

Because a slap can be out of a moment of anger. That happens once it doesn't happen again i can get over it. Not without a humble apology.
But a mush is straight up contempt. Like spitting in someone's face. At least that's what it seems like to me.
