SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y.) – Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney today announced the jury verdict of guilty for three counts of Burglary in the First Degree and one count of Burglary in the Second Degree committed by 37-year-old Gregg “Frenchie” Hogan, a known entertainer.

“No family in Suffolk County should have to fear that their home is going to be broken into in the middle of the night. This defendant took part in a burglary which removed this family’s sense of safety and security in their own home,” said Tierney. “I want to thank the jury for their service, which ensures the defendant will be held accountable for his reprehensible actions.”

The evidence at trial established that on May 7, 2021, at about 3:37 a.m., the defendant and several others, some armed with handguns, kicked in the front door of a Shirley home while a mother, father and their 18-year-old son were inside sleeping. The group had received erroneous information that there would be $100,000 and marijuana in the home. While the defendant and his accomplices rummaged through the home, the victims were held at gunpoint and forced to lay face down on the ground. Their autistic son was pistol whipped, causing lacerations to his face, because he did not respond to commands as quickly as the group wanted.

The group fled with a small amount of money and the teenager’s iPhone. The evidence proved that in addition to participating in the home invasion, Hogan was the getaway driver for the group.

Hogan was convicted by the jury of three counts of Burglary in the First Degree and one count of Burglary in the Second Degree after a three-week trial. Hogan faces 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on July 21, 2022.

In addition to Hogan the following persons were charged for their participation in the crime. His co-defendants Donte Thomas, 24, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to nine years in prison; Miguel Ruiz, 29, was arrested months later after fleeing to Florida. His case is pending. Another co-defendant Brayan Medrano, 19, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted Burglary in the Second Degree and is pending sentencing. Additional perpetrators have yet to be apprehended.

The trial was held before the Honorable Timothy P. Mazzei. Hogan is represented by Christopher J. Cassar, Esq.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Sheetal Shetty and Patrick Fedun of the Major Crime Bureau.

the fukk you get 30 years for breakin in a bytch house? :damn:

Multiple people entered, with guns and threatened the people in the home with bodily harm if they didn't comply. I know you joking, but just breaking down why this isn't just a simple B&E.
