$25 for a screen-printed t-shirt? Sounds like MollyWatr, part 2.

If you want to market your t-shirts, there's nothing wrong with pushing it on forums. But I hope you have other ways because the t-shirt market is flooded and is tough to break into. I'd suggest you try to sell to retailers, like Hot Topic, or something like that.
There was an entrepreneur who was selling bottled water to bars and clubs. He ended up trying to off load palettes of bottles here because his inventory was not moving. Sad business story.

Exactly, dude signs up ONLY to advertise and try and sell us shyt??

:jo:

We've got other people who have their businesses here but they actually are part of the community. If anything perhaps we need a business subforum where black businesses can be identified so we can support :ohhh:

Personal account now breh, I'm up in here :myman:

Thanks for your feedback unit321. Definitely, posting on forums is not a viable business strategy in and of itself. The post is just to spread the word, introduce brehs to the brand and our philosophy, and share some gear with y'all.

I like this idea :obama:

I'm down with that myself. Been with thecoli since day 1 and on SOHH before even though i dont post much but im everyday on here. I own a brand myself (black african owned) but been scared to promote on here thinking it would be too early. Screw that... check out www.kardastyle.com and facebook.com/kardastyle or instagram: kardastyle (mostly worn by west african celebs but had fat joe wear it and Akon...)

I see the real scheme. I worked in T-Shirt screen printing and the amount you guys charge per shirt is :ohhh: compared to how little it costs to press.

What base shirt did you use? What kind of ink was used to press? I'm trying to figure out where the costs come in.

A real brand isn't the same as, for example, a local organization printing up some tees on a low-quality Gildan for an event with no value added besides the shirt design :ld:. There are more costs beyond just screen printing - labels, tags, packaging, etc., plus the value of the brand and what it represents itself.

The shirts are quite reasonably priced at $25. The post-summer price drop makes it even more affordable for folks who wanted one but couldn't get it at $38. The ink is eco-friendly, water-based ink -- no plasticizers, PVC, or toxic chemicals.
