So I’m kinda scratching my head in this one, a friend of mine is Haitian and they’re showing me how they clean meat. With limes, vinegar, boiling water etc and I respect other cultures but the few times I’ve had meet cleaned that way, it was kinda tough and not as tender. And from a health standpoint, using hot water on meat isn’t the best way I’ve been told
I googled it
and supposedly the way they clean meat came out of necessity bc in their country, they don’t got all them meat processing plants and food standards we got in the US. I get all that too lol but what still tripped me out was my friend telling me that even though we in the US, they still clean it that way. I think I’m trying to get a different perspective bc sometimes the meat be tough
