Sometimes people don't have a choice maybe it's just you and your dad and his mind too far gone that it's not safe to keep him home alone. It is times tho that white people drop off they people and only come during holidays. I had one family come in for their mom birthday stood around her didn't pay her no mind then was lt stinks let's leave that was all in the span of five minutes

Think about what you are saying.
You don't have a choice but to send your father, to a place that will mistreat him because it is more convient for you.
That is sick as fukk

The reality is you could do it, and the funny part is there are multiple state programs available that will provide home hospice and home assistance for elderly to watch over them during the day and assist, not to mention the free charities.

But*ts more convient to send your parents to a hell hole that is trying to steal your parents possessions that would go to you.
Some of yall defend nonsense.

It all depends on the nursing homes.
The first one I worked at was ok. I worked at 2 five star facilities where the facility was clean, well staffed, and the food was good. The nursing home I work at now is filthy and all the nurses are African. They seem like they don’t care about the residents.

I understand where you are coming from now.
I wqill state the home healthcare assistance is for people with full on dementia.
My neighbor her mother just passed away, but she had regressed to almost a child level, where they had to feed her and she would run around the house without her clothes and pretty bad stuff. But they provided aid to come everyday to assist the family, it helped because they also had remote work at the time.

Hell my grandmother is using it now, but she is just mobility hurt, but they have someone come out and watch her until my aunt comes back home.
My aunt has a bunch of cameras in the house now, to monitor and see what is going on, so its a lot better than it used to be.

Elderly abuse I've seen ONE time in my span it was some young girl she was throwing dirty diapers in this lady face and giving her the finger. Took the roomate three months to finally find the courage to complain. Honestly tho it's the other way around these old folks talk crazy to you sometimes and you be having to catch yourself.

Its the praise the position gets, same with policemen, miliary, lawyers, and any prestige positions.
When you those positions people want the prestige they don't want the work, so you get a large group of scumbags entering the profession.
Doctors with God complexes, nurses who aren't shyt but can sit in a class and suck a mean dikk, hospitals that will pay the lowest bidder and the shytty folks take it, and run the good professionals out because they just get sick of the poor work of their co-workers and the shytty admins that allow it.
Doctors the same these doctors don't give a fukk about anything except a check.
Your ER docs and specialists might be alright as they are very task oreinted but your average GP isn't worth a shyt and you have to look up shyt yourself to check them.

My nikka I'm a big dude and more than half the people I take care of is 250+ dead weight don't turn/help. So what happens is you gotta use your all your might just to turn them then they be like "ouch" I be like are you serious.

Matta fact I had to curse out a unprofessional worker at a hospice my grandma was in for confusing my grandma and talking to her like she was one of her grandkids. We told that bytch multiple times to stop calling her "granny" knowing damm well she had dementia. But the bytch kept doing it. I aired her ass out in front of her supervisor and checked the supervisor too. That bytch was gone that same day.

I know about multiple instances of nursing home workers not rotating the bed ridden patients and the patients getting multiple bed sores and a lady who went to my pop's church died from infection from the bed sores.

You literally can google and find documentaries about abusive nursing home care and patient deaths.

The nursing home worker job is to deal with the elderly which have a high likelihood of dementia. If the workers can't handle that then they need to find another career.

Alot of them don't like to take showers anyway. And the aides don't wanna give the showers as is. I'll let you refuse once... they get a shower once a week before you know it it's been two months without a shower just bird baths.

So not recently but when I was under a different company our bed sores were so bad they (tried) made us do a list every time we turned someone (left, back,right) then someone would come in the morning to see if we was doing it. Some of these people don't get out of bed at all and it's crazy to me cause you deserve at least an hour (that might be all they can handle) I got a Lady and she's been in the bed since 2019...
