My Pops Forever RIP
LUKA BEAT ANTMAN LAST YEAR WITOUT LEBRONS HINDERANCE

BRON JUST HAS GOOFY ENERGY AND THE WOLVES SMELLED THAT BLOOD N WENT FOR THE JUGULAR

WHO TF JOVIALLY CLOWNS AROUND WIT THE OTHER TEAM IN A GAME 3 OF A SERIES WHEN UR TEAM LOSING N BOUT TO GO DOWN 2-1

THAT WAS THE MOMENT THE SERIES WAS OVER
they had bigs that can play for more than 4 minutes in a game. That's not on LeBron. That's on whoever didn't let the Williams trade go through.
Dalton Knecht a guy who played in 78 games and avg 9 points on 46% percent shooting and can knock down the 3. I've seen cacs like that all playoffs kennard, aj green. He couldn't be worst than the scrubs out there who are getting abused on both ends
Knecht can get hot the way Rui could or Reaves could.

But then who's he guarding? Still worth a shot i guess.

WIT BETTER DECISION MAKING, THOSE ARE VICTORIES

LETS NOT SIT HERE N PRETEND LIKE WE WERENT FAVORED GOING IN

OF COURSE HAVING MARK WILLIAMS WOULD BE NICE... BUT WE NEVER HAD HIM N WERE STILL PICKED TO WIN THE SERIES FOR A REASON

Well because you are the third seed

Times the 6th Seed Beat the 3rd Seed in the First Round:

  1. 1987 - Seattle SuperSonics (3) lost to Houston Rockets (6) (2-3, best-of-five back then)
  2. 1988 - Portland Trail Blazers (3) lost to Utah Jazz (6) (1-3, best-of-five)
  3. 1991 - San Antonio Spurs (3) lost to Golden State Warriors (6) (1-3)
  4. 1994 - Golden State Warriors (3) lost to Phoenix Suns (6) (0-3)
  5. 1995 - Utah Jazz (3) lost to Houston Rockets (6) (2-3)
  6. 1998 - Minnesota Timberwolves (3) lost to Seattle SuperSonics (6) (2-3)
  7. 2007 - Toronto Raptors (3) lost to New Jersey Nets (6) (2-4)
  8. 2011 - Dallas Mavericks (3) lost to Portland Trail Blazers (6) (2-4)
  9. 2012 - Orlando Magic (3) lost to Indiana Pacers (6) (1-4)
  10. 2013 - Denver Nuggets (3) lost to Golden State Warriors (6) (2-4)
  11. 2014 - Toronto Raptors (3) lost to Brooklyn Nets (6) (3-4)
  12. 2018 - Portland Trail Blazers (3) lost to New Orleans Pelicans (6) (0-4)
  13. 2020 - Denver Nuggets (3) lost to Utah Jazz (6) (3-4)
  14. 2022 - Golden State Warriors (3) lost to Denver Nuggets (6) (1-4) *(Note: This was a play-in scenario where Denver was technically the 6th seed due to play-in rules)*
  15. 2023 - Sacramento Kings (3) lost to Golden State Warriors (6) (3-4)

Key Notes:

  • Before 2003, the first round was a best-of-five series, making upsets more common.
  • Since the NBA switched to a best-of-seven first round (2003), the 6th seed has beaten the 3rd seed 8 times (including the 2023 Warriors over Kings).
  • The most recent occurrence was the 2023 Warriors (6) beating the Kings (3) in a thrilling 7-game series.

Calling out an extreme coaching decision isn't MMQ......Playing the same 5 for the entire half isn't normal..Especially when you built a double-digit lead and could've given Lebron/Luka a short rest.......I've been one of the biggest JJ supporters....Not giving Bron/Luka a short rest was stupid.
To me the whole point of having three players like Lebron, Reaves, and Luka is that you can afford to sit one and turn the offense over to the other two. Especially considering Lebron's age and that Luka can wear down. The coach has to try and buy a few minutes of rest for all of them. I get JJ's thinking that with the next game not until Wednesday he could ride them a little harder, I just think it was a mistake.

Typical end of season melt down in here. Look Lakers need a big man and a deeper bench. With Luka here free agents are gonna flock and players will want to be traded here just give it time. Pelinka is unpredictable tho so we might either have the best roster in years next season or be fighting for the play-in.
JJ has a year of experience under his belt now. Dalton will get better. Luka being around Bron might actually get in really good shape this summer. Reaves continues to be good. We just need Lebron to be able to maintain a good output and not fall off due to age and we can contend next season.
But i think the pieces will fall into place nowhere to go but up to be honest
