Role players didnt give them anything too man. Its wild
They didn’t give them shyt.

It’s no wonder one lineup was being run into the ground when nobody else could give them anything.
Heinous coaching by Redikk the final two games of this series.

Getting sonned by Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle is quite possibly the low point of my Lakers fandom.
What should JJ have done differently that was going to result in wins? I don’t wanna hear shyt about Hayes when he couldn’t stay on the floor without fouling.

We saw further proof in Game 5 that playing that main 5-man lineup, extensively, was actually their best chance at making the games competitive. The bench didn’t contribute a damn thing when they got minutes. Not a cotdamn thing.

I don’t know why it just can’t be acknowledged the roster was the sole issue. Focusing on anything else is just a deflection from the entire root cause.

The difference between winning/losing - playing Knecht.

That sure would've done it, play another guard who can't defend (all in his rookie season) when Minny was punishing LA with their size/athleticism. If only JJ would've seen that obvious move to make, the Lakers would still be in it right now.

:wow:

Because it's 2025 and AD is a center, not a PF. His request that the Lakers get a starting center was a misguided one and it had gotten old after all these years.

Bubble was 2020 and iirc he was finishing some games at center. AD is healthier at center too.
And in the bubble AD had an outlier run shooting the ball. He hasn’t come close to that since

JJ fukked up burying Knecht. I know he's trash defensively but he's the only spark plug scorer off the bench and they could have used that in this series.
man at this point, jj could have tried to give the team a diff look.

gotta give the twolves defense credit though.

Gabe and Vando played a combined 40+ minutes and had 2 points and 6 fouls between them.

What other hill was there to die on?

He’s a coach, not a shaman.

A coach that put in kleber! This man hasn’t played in months and is unknown to any line-up.:russ:

Rudy Gobert put up 27 points. I rather throw Hayes at him and let him join the Vincent/Vando in fouling. We would had a aleast had a “center” that Luka can throw lobs at and provide some type of “other” offense beside ISO ball. :heh:

Lakers lacked size and athleticism and got the worst possible matchup in the first round.

Either LeBron is washed or sending a message with his poor play these past 3 4th quarters.

Lakers need to include a weight clause in Luka’s contract.

Constant roster churn these past few years have caught up to the Lakers. Expecting the likes of Jaxon Hayes, Vando and Vincent to be more than scrubs in the playoffs is a fools errand

JJ had a good first year overall. Not much he could have done in this series to turn things around. Lakers have no depth, an out of shape Luka and old LeBron.

The same center who had more fouls than points and rebounds in the series? The same center who had games where he had 5 fouls in 9 minutes and 2 fouls/1 tech in 4 minutes?

He's not staying on the floor long enough for Luka to throw lobs to him because he'd be fouling out.

Did you even watch how incompetent he was in every game he played? If you're hung up on JJ not playing Hayes more, then isn't it obvious the Lakers were doomed from the start? Do you think the series would've gone any differently if he had played more, or would they just get their asses handed to them just the same, if not more?
