Luka couldnt even walk. He was very visibly favoring his back, plus everyone is already out here calling him fat. I mean JJ pretty much called him out directly. Don't even feel like Luka getting a pass per se, everyone is kinda waiting to see if he'll be in shape next year. He starts out next season out of shape guarantee 100% Bill Plaskche will shyt on him in the LA Times front page.

However in Game 4, which was the much more important game, Luka had 17 2nd half points while Bron had 5. Luke had 7 4th qtr points and Bron had 0.

That was the game we needed. We were up 94-84 after the 3rd qtr, we whooped their ass in the 3rd. Then in the 4th Bron goes scoreless and we got our asses handed to us, lost the lead and the game. JJ is the biggest culprit since he didnt give anyone any rest, but you're down 2-1 and it's G4, thats always looked at as "must win". Luka gave us more in that 2nd half of 24 straight minutes.

G5 we are already down 3-1, which is a wash 95% of the time.

Bron also had 3 blocks and 2 steals in the 4th and had key stops like 6 possessions in the 4th.. he was a 1 man wrecking crew on the defensive end in the 4th

You don’t actually watch the games tho, so idk why I’m saying this

Make sense...yeah that game 4 was crucial. Bron really fukked it up on the offensive side even if the defense was cool.
That ill advise three while being up is still :dwillhuh: to me..

This teams needs to get more athletic this summer. A 40 year old shouldn't be the best athlete on the team. They also need some type of bench scorer who can run the offense.

@ALonelyDad I know you also follow the Pels. How would you feel about some type of Reaves for Herb Jones swap?

Portland makes sense as a potential trade partner. I'd really like Matisse Tybulle. He barely played this year but he's been relatively healthy the rest of his career; expiring contract. Anfernee Simons would be nice (though pricey) to have off the bench. He's also expiring.

Orlando has some guys: Isaac, Suggs (his contract makes it tough though) and Bitadze. I've always liked Bitadze when I've seen him play. Could be a sneaky pickup.

Prime Wade
Prime Bosh
Prime Kyrie
Prime Love
Prime AD

:dead: shyt is actually comedic when you lay it out. All them players and still a losing finals record. Imagine criticizing Luka and all Luka had was old washed up Bron

I would easily do that swap if this team wasn't so reliant on AR. Herb is essentially what you wanted Vando to be, a great defender but Herb is much better offensively. His problem is he can go to zero for large stretches, then you would just have Luka as the only guy. AR has his liabilities but he can create for himself and others which is very important in this league. If this team is able to replace LeBron with another guy in the future, then Lakers can explore moves like that.

After sleeping on it for a week, I gotta square up with JJ if I see him in LA
Jaxson Hayes stans fighting for the cause.

Make sure you bully JJ into running it back with Hayes as the starting center next season and for the playoffs. This is what every Lakers fan can only dream of; a 41-year-old and a worms-for-brains ass big man leading the way.

:wow:

JJ isnt a good coach

don't care what these klutch bots say. literally anyone could have a decent record with bron/ad bron/doncic

what kind of coach couldn't even find mins for knecht after what he showed in the preseason but played jordan godwin and bum ass vanderbilt who has the offensive game of hellen keller

JJ was an alright coach during the regular season and did lead the team to a 3rd seed although I agree the Luka trade helped a lot too.

However his coaching was pretty subpar during the Minnesota series and he went completely off the rails in the last 2 games :mjlol:. Creh not only played the starting lineup, including a 40 years old player, for a whole half (a feat that no serious coach has done before, for good reason) but he still ended up losing the game. And then he backdoors that shyt by not playing our only somewhat playable center against Gobert, letting him cook the whole game, and he actually had the audacity to put Maxi Kleber on the court in an elimination game :dead:

Yeah I know and said myself that Jaxson Hayes is kinda dumb but they managed to go on a long winning streak with him playing significant time on the court during the season, I don't buy that he can't play a few minutes more while trash like Gabe Vincent get 25+ minutes in the playoffs contributing nothing.

I'm not saying Ham is better but if he did some shyt like this people would have been calling for his head right away.

After he showed in the what now? Preseason?

:aicmon:

Rookies don't get burn like that in the postseason, unless they're exceptional or playing them is beneficial to the team. Knecht's no-defense-playing-ass would've been a nightmare on the floor with a team that had no rim protection and no appropriate defensive help. If y'all had a balanced roster, then playing him spot minutes could've been an option. But even then, it wouldn't have moved the needle to any degree where playing him was the difference between winning/losing.

Sheppard and Holland II were treated exactly the same on their respective playoff teams that lost in the 1st round, and they were projected to be better players than Knecht, so if their coaches didn't trust them, what hope did Knecht ever have at playing? Do you seriously think if he was on a team like the Rockets instead he would've got gametime in the playoffs?

Hayes and Knecht are not seeing the floor on any other playoff team, but somehow, y'all still in here up in arms about them not playing. I bet you even GS would roll out the corpse of Looney before that big for nothing ass bum.

I would agree with you, but rolling out the corpse of Kiebler makes that all null and void. If there's only a 5% chance Hayes or Dalton could contribute, Maxi was at 0.0001%

So now he's on my list with Bill Simmons and Bomani for square up on sight :yeshrug:

That's what I'm saying. If JJ actually stuck to his small ball game plan (that didn't work out) there would be at least some kind of logic in there but the fact that he actually put a dude who never played with 1 lineup during the season in a do or die game shows he was either desperate, extremely stupid, or throwing the game away on purpose :heh: There's no way Kleber was going to solve the problem that Hayes couldn't in your mind.

Hell, even the media guys who refrained all year from criticizing JJ were like :dahell: at him because of the last 2 games. I really hope he learned from this because if not, I'm not sure he'll be capable to lead this team further than the 1st round against a serious opponent.
