Cassell has lost on a bunch of HC jobs, so he’s either a terrible interview or people behind the scenes know he’s a better assistant than head guy.. he seems very much like a “Rah rah” type
JJ has the highest ceiling simply because he’s an unknown but he has a good basketball mind due to his talk on social media.. I don’t love it, but of all the choices it’s the highest upside

Nah looking into his numbers and Lauri is just a slightly better version of post All-Star Rui who averaged 16/5 on good efficiency.
The Lakers need a guard not a better version of Rui who can still improve.

The Lakers are not that far off fit and talent wise.
All they need to do is to flip Dlo for a PG with some athleticism and defense that can replicate his offense.
Bring in a rim protecting, rebounding center.
And pick up a few more complimentary pieces.
And also sign a good coach of course.

Y'all have only had 3 coaches in the last 8 seasons. Before that, there were 5 different coaches in the previous 5 seasons.
Of the last 3 coaches, the only one you shouldn't have fired is Vogel. He wasn't perfect, but he's easily the best coach you've had since Phil Jackson. Unless you had a proven better option to replace him with, it should have been Pelinka who took the heat for that year's shortcomings, not Vogel.

DS, Westbrook, DLO… they aren’t able to find the right guard with their current assets. Lauri fits in pretty perfectly, he’s a MUCH better defender than Rui and a MUCH better rebounder
