Trust me, it wasn’t less. All the guns the strong African states had & were used to wage wars were exchanged for slaves.
Also, there were thousands of Europeans all over the coast of Africa & it did cost them anything to bring thousands more to wage wars. Heck, they fought wars against one another in Africa for dominance of different ports and also fought wars against African states. Read about all the wars they fought in Kongo (tens of thousands of Europeans soldiers were involved) & it didn’t cost them anything to bring thousands of soldiers to Africa.
Slavery was a very lucrative business for them & slaves were like crude oil back then. So moving men & weapons were the least of their problems.

This is what separates people with extremely low IQ from intelligent & educated people. It’s the understanding of certain concepts.
There’s no pure religion & religion gets modified to fit those using it. And it’s the reason why Abrahamic religion got broken into Christianity, Islam & Judaism. And even under these modified religions - they have been further modified by people using them, to fit those using them. Hence under Christianity you have Catholicism, Pentecostalism, Protestants, Orthodoxy, Coptic etc. Islam has Shia, Sunni, Sufi, etc. Judaism has orthodox, dati, secular, traditional, etc.
So, in essence, NOI didn’t b*stardise Islam - they just modified it like people do with religion to fit their own way of life.
There is no pure/true religion & you need a higher IQ (which you obviously lack) to grasp that.
