IMO, nobody should apologize for how they feel or what they say. Unless you really are in the wrong and what you say is uncalled for. Otherwise, own up to your shyt. You don't have to be politically correct, just because everyone else is afraid to go against the grain and actually tell the truth. One thing I can't stand is a sheep ass follower, who don't think for themselves.

Yup. It's as if the internet and social media gave any simpleton with a mouth & keyboard a voice. And not everybody needs to be heard.

Exactly. I remember when you had to actually wait for a magazine issue to drop to know about or catch up on a rapper. The mystique is completely gone now.

Mystique? Now I know why folks look at Jay-Z like a father figure. :smh:

Trust, I'm not a Jay Z fan like that AT ALL. But yeah, the mystique in the game is gone. If you're an artist, you have to be on 24/7 now. You can't go home, turn off Drake the rapper/singer and just be Aubry again. Catch my drift. And I'd never want to live in the miserable fish bowl that these rappers live in.

I don't know what cacs have to do with autism, being a rape victim or a homo, I assume that those "conditions" are spread out pretty evenly.
Some jokes might go to far, like gay jokes if they want to be treated evenly they'll have to man up.. As long as you don't fukk around and call them fakkits, but jokes about autism is not hot. They are not on an even playing field, so it's a sucker move.

With that being said I'll still laugh when it's done with respect or greatness like Eddie :dead:

nikka is u tellin me I have to abide by that political correct shyt

If im makin a diss record and callin a nikka a fakkit and accusing him of having doodoo sex with other nikkaz and expressin it as a shameful thing,,im supposed to be mindful of glbt or whatever the fck and how they might be offended? :why:

Nah nikka..

And this aint no slippery slope shyt nikka...the more we ride behind these easily offended groups the more they'll choose to be offended by..history has proven this.

Now Im not sayin i should be expressin mindless hate towards groups n sht..but if I have a philosophy that conflicts with political correctness ex: (gender roles, sexuality, religion, etc.) and i have to mute myself just because it conflicts with what these fakkit crackaz wanna push as absolute rule through the guise of "political correctness"..then ima continue to be against the sht. :birdman:

What I'm saying is that we need to respect all groups, but specially disabled people who can't even defend themselves. You can take shots at people, shyt even subgroups and whatever the fukk but attacking whole groups is just weak.

You have the freedom to say what you want, you'll however be forced to deal with the consequences.

And also freedom of speech does not include slander. Autistic people are not retards, I.e. J. Cole was slandering them. That's a fact.

when a genre surges in popularity like this, shyt like this happens

it's disappointing to an extent when the genre that used to strike the most fear and had the most edge to it has to take a backseat to a politically correct social agenda.

now if artists truly feel what they said was out of pocket, then by all means apologize. i've said a lot of shyt i've apologized for and a lot of shyt I should have but never did. also, if you have a genuine concern and care for your fans, hearing an autistic kid complain that you're a bully can maybe have some type of affect on you. or a fan made letter saying some guy repeated your line from a song when he made fun of me. we underestimate that artists are also human beings :manny:

Thank you.

I swear some of you want Hip Hop to be hardcore all the time so you feel hardcore listening to it. How about just appreciating it for art and all the many aspects of it? You can have Tupac spit on Delories Tucker AND have J Cole apologize to Autistic kids.

i'm surprised no one's said someone really close to them is autistic, homosexual, etc. at all on this forum. I don't really have anyone close to me like that, but I wouldn't be surprised if most posters had a little brother, cousin, friend of a friend. Sure you don't take offense to it personally, but who really gives a shyt if a rapper apologized to that group of people so people that are already singled out daily (maybe not publicly but in people's thoughts) can have some reassurance that they aren't some outcasts of society.by the most mainstream popular genre of music

Yeah I really dont see a problem with J Cole walking his comments back since they were his comments to begin with. I don't think it makes look Hip Hop look 'p*ssy' because Hip Hop is bigger than J Cole or one instance. They are his words and his choice to own up or take a second look.

It can't be all ignorance all the time. That wouldn't be a true reflection of this society. You have some people who don't give a fukk and some who do.

Man, nikkas been gettin on my nerves for a minute about this. defending artists that are apologizing for saying what they say on tracks. Seriously, it takes away from who the artist is... they obviously thought of the line, they thought it was clever, and when people bash them for being politically incorrect or distasteful they back the fukk up with the quickness... apologizing over rap lines... grow the fukk up.

if rap is hurting peoples feelings...good. it's rugged and raw n if you dont like it, go listen to frank ocean or bruce springsteen pussies.

:stopitslime:

Lol. If it was that "rough, rugged and raw" we wouldn't have rappers deleting tweets off what they said three years ago. Fact is we live in a PC era now, and if you hope to sustain a career in the game, you're gonna have to lick boots. Sad, but true.
