I'm not really awkward while playing a handheld tho, that's usually when I'm sitting around with nothing in my hands staring into space. While playing with a handheld, my facial expressions are neutral and I don't move around with a game. I sit perfectly still like I'm texting on a phone, so it's gotta be the device that brings me attention.

That's why more people play games on smartphones in public. They are shorter more accessible games. You could play an angry birds level in 10 seconds and you don't even really have to pay much attention to it. 3ds/vita games require you to give your full attention and most of them wouldn't be enjoyable in multiple 1-5 minute sessions.

But yeah, perhaps the thread is misleading because I don't bring my 3DS to school with me everyday to the point where I'm known as the awkward loner who always plays games. The main thing I use is my Kindle Fire to catch up on the Iceberg Slim and Mike Tyson autobiographies I'm currently reading, and even that makes me look like an outcast, but point is, I enjoy it and it keeps me occupied until the next class starts. A road trip would be the only time a could see a vita/3ds coming in handy, but as an adult you probably should be giving more attention to helping navigate than playing games.


It's probably cause your surrounded by countless women in their prime, prime fukkery, and countless chances for emotional/educational advancement. And your oblivious to it all while trying to get Mario to jump correctly.

well you're not supposed to be albert einstein....you need to be perceived as a non-chalant nicca, but you know everything...don't answer everything in class but when the test/paper grades comeback you at least top 5. Make convo with a few chicks about class(if you can't do that you aren't paying attention hard enough) then you'll feel comfortable enough to ask, they may ask you and you can hit them with I got that 104 get your clothes game up too...appearance is crucial especially if you got no game

im not saying you can make a lot of progress, but the turn-based battle system makes it easy to pick up and play imo, as opposed other genres
