i'm done with it. from the old classic shyt to definitely all of the new shyt. this shyt don't move me no more.

the best part about listenin' to the old shyt is the samples and for that, i rather listen to the original songs that were sampled in the 1st place anyway, any day :ohlawd:

yeah yeah, i'm :flabbynsick:, it is what it is :russ::manny:

People still listen to rap? :mjlol:

yeah, people still listen to rap :comeon:

i find it funny when muthafukkas make comment like this, like "rap? who still listens to this?:dwillhuh:"

rap music, hip hop, it's all the same. that shyt is all 1 in the same for the most part. all entertainment :francis:

yeah yeah, hip hop = culture and all but it's still music as well. rap music and hip hop go hand and hand :coffee:

this

I've been on that boat for awhile now . . and it's like this . . Dr. Dre was a DJ first, he has incredible skill at the craft of making a record in the studio . . outside of that he essentially replayed music from another era and did a modern version of what an old school DJ/MC might do, playing a record and letting the MC rap over it to move the crowd

I love Dr. Dre - but most of his music is a watered down version of a song sampled. Something that was once classic, now filled with vulgarity.

"Next Episode" is an example that defies this . . as the original didn't really have lyrics so he made a song out of that .
