But even after five years as a pro and all of those knockouts, many of the highlight-reel variety, Wilder has yet to be tested. The universal criticism of Wilder -- or more accurately, of his representatives -- is that his opposition has been extremely weak, to put it mildly.

I don't get the chance to follow boxing like I used to so someone could do a better job of this, but yeah, Wilder is labeled a glorified joke blessed with opponents that get knocked out in hilarious ways. Dude has like 20-30 fights with no recognizable names on his list just dead beats and even when he gets called out by 'worthy' opponents he ducks them but his hype is growing so he's going to have to fight a 'name' sooner or later .

Still, his KO's are brutally hilarious I came onboard with the Rabotte KO when dude was laid out with his leg bent behind him but even in that fight the commentators knew during walkins he had no chance. Wilder has an interesting story, though he was going to be a basketball player (he's 6'7) but had a daughter with medical issues then started driving beer trucks and learned to box hoping to get enough money for her medical condition (among other things).

Is it really a disservice if he isnt as good as portrayed? I say he continue to knockout nobodies to build up the hype and then cash out on a big payday. The casual fans dont know who's a nobody or not, all we see is 29 fights, 29-0, and 29 KOs and these funny ass videos and go ...
